My mother is picky regarding Mexican food. She likes flavors to be intense, but not hot. She ate her whole meal. She had the enchilada and chili relleno. I had the steak fajitas. Lots of meat. Nicely flavored.

Chapala on Vista is great! I went to lunch with a friend on a Sunday afternoon at around noon which is when they opened. We were seated immediately and our waiter stopped by right away to get a drink order. He was super friendly and offered a very nice touch of humor to our experience which I appreciated. The food came out quickly and was superb. I would go as far to say that Chapala has the best Mexican cuisine in the Treasure Valley. Highly recommend!

The people were nice, but the food was not good. The tamale tasted really old. And, the ground beef in the enchilada tasted really old, who knows when that meat was cooked. Definitely would never go there again. Cooking the meat fresh daily would help...

Moy was our server's name, and he was great. Good sense of humor, and always checking on us to see how we were doing. The food was amazing. The wife even finished her entire plate because of how good it was. We don't come into downtown Boise very often, but we are glad we were here tonight. Overall, it was a great experience at Chapalas Mexican Restaurant.

This place is great, with fast and friendly service. Fantastic food and yummy house salsa, too. Plan on having at least one margarita with them!

Best Tamales and chicken enchiladas I've EVER eaten. Large portions!!! I asked for a side of sour cream and expected about a tablespoons worth like other restaurants, but got a lot!

We were referred here and the outside looks like it used to be a drive through. The inside is definitely dated but not bad by any means. The menu does state that the first round of chips, salsa, beans but refills are not free. I got the carne asada burrito, my wife got the Chile verde burrito. Both were awesome. The carne asada kind of tasted like Freddy’s steak burger meat or In-n-Out patties, both of which I love so I’m not complaining haha my wife loved hers as well. The carne asada burrito was about $17, which seems high for the place but it’s a local place and it was delicious so we will be back at $40 for two burritos and just water, it’s not an every week kind of place.

First, we loved the chips & salsa. Very flavorful plus it came with beans. We split the Combo Fajita. It too was flavorful and had the flavor only cast iron can deliver. It came with a plate of beans, lettuce, guac., sour cream and rice plus several tortillas. This was our first time here and our friends suggested it and like them we will be repeat customers. Our friends had his usual Chile Verde Burrito and she had Carne Asada Street Tacos. Plenty of parking, clean, good environment, good service and clearly very popular. I usually take photos but I forgot due to visiting with ol'friends. Wheelchair & kid friendly. Our waitress let us practice our Spanish with her, which was fun.
