The price is not expensive, the ingredients are fresh, the staff are friendly, and the restaurant that I always want to go back to. The warm smiles and kindness of the staff are the biggest flavor of this restaurant. All the food we ordered was clean and tasty. We recommend it to my friends.

I had the flautas plate. They were good. Rice and beans were served with the dish. Those were also very good. Chip and salsa were served and the salsa does have a kick. Overall the food was above average. I am excited to try some of the other items. My girlfriend had the chicken fajitas and loved them. The atmosphere is nice. Very clean and lots of space. Has a very unique charm with all the photos and decorations. I will be back again.

This was another spontaneous discovery while driving in the city of LaHabra, CA. It was Friday evening around dinner time. My wife and I were actually headed to another restaurant when we were passing by this great restaurant. It was already dark and the green neon illuminated the night in this area so bright you can't drive by without noticing this place. I also noticed through the windows there were quite a bit of happy people inside. So we decided to try this place. What I first noticed was nice mural artwork on the exterior walls. The hand painted art continues as you enter this place. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The music was not too loud and just loud enough to hear without having to raise your voice to conversate. The lighting was just right, too. We were quickly greeted by the host with a smile upon entering and like any great restaurant, we were asked to wait until seated. The wait wasn't too long about 15 minutes. They have benches outside to sit on. We met a young family while waiting and asked if they been here before? They said they come all the time and said the seafood is great and everything they have had has always been good 👍🏼. We heard our name called and were seated. The chips and salsa came out quickly. We always pay attention to the chips and salsa whenever we try a new place. If the chips are fresh and hot 🔥 and the salsa is good, then most likely the food will be too. The chips and salsa were good. We finished the entire basket. Salsa had a great flavor with a little kick of heat on the backend and not hot when you first taste it. Nice. We ordered guacamole for our appetizer to go along with those great tasting chips. The guacamole was creamy, it was good too. I personally enjoy a more chunky guacamole but it had a great flavor nonetheless. We were waited on by Kevin. He was friendly and helpful and explained the menu to us. This is a family owned restaurant and Kevin shared with us how he used to get to the restaurant everyday after school and sit next to where we were seated to do his homework. Then help out. He grew up in this restaurant. They have 4 locations Hawaiian Gardens, La Habra, Norwalk and Paramount. My wife ordered a Shrimp Cocktail and I ordered the Tampiqueña plate. The shrimp cocktail in a Mexican restaurant is seved chilled, in a dish with freshly chopped vegetables and in a clam juice broth. It was full of flavorful shrimp and chunks of fresh avocado 🥑 with just the right amount of fresh cilantro, onions, cucumber and diced tomato. The Tampiqueña plate had great aromas with the steam rising from the plate as it was served. The bold colorful plate, the fresh green onion stood out on top of the nicely grilled steak. The steak was juicy and full of flavor. I cut off the first piece of steak and asked my wife to enjoy the first bite. I knew by her expression, I was going to enjoy this meal! The refried beans were topped with melted chesse. The rice had great color and tasted perfect, it was light and fluffy. The orange colored rice had a few vegetables mixed in it just like my grandmother used to make. The steak was hiding a chesse enchilada underneath it. The entire dish did not go to waste! No doggybag was needed. I finished the entire plate. I ordered corn tortillas which I totally ignored until I was done. I took one tortilla out of the yellow paper it was rolled up in and it was still warm! 🔥 I used it to mop up all of the leftover sauce on my plate. I thoroughly enjoyed this meal. While we were waiting for our food to arrive, we kept seeing all kinds of wonderful dishes being served. We can’t wat to come back and try other dishes. Great food, great friendly staff, nice warm atmosphere make for a perfect meal. Kevin did say it is really busy on the weekends. So plan on waiting when you come. But it will be worth the wait. Please leave a 👍🏼if you found this review helpful. Thank you ~Ernie.

When the quality of my previously favorite local Mexican restaurant took an unfortunately downturn, I happened upon this gem of a restaurant. The quality of the food is excellent and its popularity among the local Hispanic community is a testament to the flavor experience. I have never had a dish here which I did not enjoy. The seating can be limited in the evenings but I personally prefer eating at home so I usually get my order to go to.

Never disappoints!! Ventured away from my usual cheese enchiladas or pozole and got the shredded beef taquitos they were very good. Definitely something I would order again. The chips and salsa are always on point😘 oh, can't forget about the flan. Mmmm!

Great food the people in there are great they're so kind and love the atmosphere and great prices I definitely recommend this place for great Mexican food

We went to this place because it was recommended.. We were served by a make server described as 6'2, tall make Hispanic dark short hair combed back with mustache goat tee, pot belly.. this person was rude and not helpful when we asked questions about the food we were ordering.. he was upset that he was there working.. after eating, I went to counter / register to pay bill.. same guy was there still upset, looked at me and didn't say anything to me, and looked away.. I waited, and I placed the bill on the counter with my card.. he came over, took bill / card and rang me up, and placed receipt and card back on counter.. no, how was your meal?, or thank you or come again.. SOMETHING 🤔 Due to Mr. personality and his demeanor and lack of basic common courtesy, I'm giving this place 1 star.. I won't be going back and I will not recommend this place.

We found this small jewel and we were delighted. Food great. The beef bone soup, OMG! Waitresses rock. Bar, killer. Even the clientele is friendly. What are you waiting for? GO GO GO!
