I ordered take out from here and after one bite I remembered why I haven't been here for a decade plus. Absolutely disappointing from the meat skillet, biscuit and gravy. Finally the pecan roll could of been the worst item ever!! It's not even a pecan roll. It's a cinnamon roll with pecan thrown in the back, check the picture. Just a waste of money!!!

I ordered take out and I really want to go back to dine-in. The California Eggs Benedict had 3 perfectly poached eggs, fresh tomatoes and avocados, with crispy bacon and hollandaise sauce. The food was ready in 15 minutes with an order of other meals. I was just extremely impressed.

Food was excellent. Service was very good the girl that was our waitress was on top of everything. I have been going here for years. Soups are great and breakfast also good. Prices are inline. A must try place in the area.

I had the “Twosy”. Everything but the hash browns were good, but nothing was special enough to get the 5th star. Service was very good. I didn’t like the hash browns but that’s pretty common for me, I’m not the right person to judge them.

My sister and I visited Carol's Garden for the first time on a Friday, around noon. They have a huge menu with breakfast lunch and dinner options. Surprisingly no coffee options like flavored cofee or iced coffe but a good variety of juices. Sister went with the Double Bacon Benedict - Canadian bacon wasn't seasoned much but she was happy with the quality of hollandaise and poached eggs. We're super picky with our hashbrowns and unfortunately I was adding salt to mine, trying to add some flavor. Also mine tasted more burnt than I'm used to. I ordered the simple 4 eggs with pancakes and an additional piece of toast. Besides the blah hashbrowns, I was happy. We also ordered the Shrimp DeJohnge which felt a little overpriced for the size and amount of shrimp we got as a small plate. The restuarant itself has a cozy feel to it and while I understand this place caters to an older crowd, it was disappointing to see Fox news playing at all corners. They seemed short staffed, our waitress was able to refill our drinks (water, raspberry iced tea and hot cocoa) towards the end of our meal. Overall we may give this place another go fo dinner, as their menu is super extensive.

I'm not gonna drag this one out... I'm just gonna talk about the food and service. 4 servers, 3 of them looking for things to do. Our server had a large table who needed lots of refills on their drinks and had their food brought out when we sat down. Our server wasn't able to get to us for 20 minutes. Either he refused to ask for help or the other servers refused to help him. No one was in charge of directing these people. Irritating. The food was not good. My Shrimp DeJohnge was wayyy overcooked. The shrimp were rubber. My mother's chicken dish was overcooked and tough. My S/O's Cheesesteak bread was so soaked in grease that it fell apart. Our salads were still so wet that the salad dressings liquified leaving a watery pool on the bottom of the plate. I hope the cook isn't making more than minimum wage because that's the skill level we paid $20 per plate for. Sorry, Carol's. We were regulars for years but it's been all downhill for a while. Time to find a new family restaurant.

Decent food, friendly staff and regulars during the week making for good banter. Coffee "will put hair on your chest" as it was very strong and almost had a chemical flavor to it...

An iconic American restaurant. A survivor of Covid, inflation and economic downturns. Like restaurants of 20 years ago, serving steaks, chops, salads, sandwiches, cocktails, etc. There's some Greek and Mexican favorites. This place is huge with an equally hugh parking lot. I went with friends for lunch and we all enjoyed our meals very much. I live 15 miles away, and it was definitely worth the trip.
