Would not consider this fresh seafood. Unless you are going for unlimited crab legs do not waste your money on the buffet. The temperature of the food was not adequate and the salmon, Maui, fried fish and fried shrimp all tasted like frozen then re-cooked product. It was very slow business wise due to tropical storm so maybe the old taste had to do with not enough customers there to keep the food consumed in a timely manner.

For atmosphere, I mean, it is a buffet after all. However, it is, in our opinion, one of the best buffets we have ever been to. We come here for Thanksgiving and in the summer. The food has always been refilled quickly and hot. If it wasn’t hot, we asked them to bring us fresh [whatever it was] and they made it for us and served it. The drinks have always been a little heavy handed which is great if you enjoy alcohol! We usually don’t eat the other items in the buffet, we are seafood lovers. Crab legs, mussels, clams, crab legs, CAPTAINS BUTTER, fried scallops in Captains butter blend, and hush puppies. At Thanksgiving, Tim had the oysters and said they were delicious and plump. This place is totally worth the money IF you eat seafood. Did I mention their crab legs and Captains butter blend???!!! Oh, and their custom stained glass window is gorgeous!!

Amanda R, our waitress on today, is amazing!! Her smile, she answered our questions in a pleasant and professional manner. She gave my niece everything she asked for. She was quick at clearing our plate waste basket. The one that is placed on the table for easy disposal. The atmosphere was perfect, the music, the lighting, the decorations all came together. I, all 5 of us, will definitely come back again. This place is to die for!!! I am 😊 happy.

Delicious!! Vegetarians steer clear! This is a fish and meat place! Crabs legs, fried oysters, steamed mussels YUMMY! The pork bbq ribs, the roast were tender! The side choices were basic (green beans, mashed potatoes, mac-n-cheese etc.) but tasty. The salad bar was bleak, not good topping choices at all. Easy to get to, really decent prices and my goodness GREAT!! Service is attentive but not too overbearing! Even the merchandise is on point! $200 for 4 satisfied people!!

$50 all you can eat! I will say the food came out super fresh, constantly being circulated. Desserts were fire, crab legs were great, all kinds of options and even some for those who don't like seafood. I enjoyed the buffet a lot! Atmosphere is crazy, very big and cool. Service was good too.

Clean, comfortable, fancy but still casual buffet. Best crab leg buffet in Virginia Beach. We’ve went for years and refuse any other buffet. Worth the price and wait! Though going later in the evening has avoided long waits. Service was wonderful! Especially being it is a buffet.

To survive a $50 per person all you can eat buffet, one must come prepared and that’s what we did. We spent the day at the beach working up an appetite and Captain George’s did not disappoint. We definitely got our full of crab legs, everything was fresh and hot. Paul, our server, was timely and informative. I’ve been visiting Captain George’s since I was a kid but never this location. Defining would recommend and your come back again. FYI children’s buffet price is 24.99 and they do have a menu with other options if you are not interested in seafood or the buffet

What a great buffet, lots of options to choose from. I was there to eat crab legs, and it was a success. They had two sections of crab legs. Y You cam also choose from the menu like Jon did. He was not feeling like he can eat his money's worth. He didn't even finish his shrimp order. I went back for dessert, which rhe bread pudding was good, apple cobbler was too tart & the peCj cobbler wasn't sweet enough. Overall, it was worth it. The place looks awesome, the decorations was nice, not typical of a buffet. Definitely will come back when I come back to Virginia Beach.
