Went there yesterday for spouse's birthday dinner. Haven't been there in several years. Noticed the place has been revamped and sign says there is a new chef. Frankly I missed the linen tablecloths (fake marble tables are questionably clean). Food was very good though. Biggest complaint I have is that the service was seriously SLOW!! Took 45 minutes before we had even an appetizer brought out. They were not busy (maybe 7 parties there) and had several servers on but they just took FOREVER for everything. We practically had to jump up and waive our arms in the servers' face to get our check. Otherwise a decent place. Miss the piano player though.
I came to this restaurant last Monday after having stayed away for an entire year. My wife and I assumed we would have a better experience this time than the last. We were utterly disappointed... yet again. We started off with the calamari, it was very bland and chewy. After specifying to our server that we wanted the calamari well done, meaning crispy, we were annoyed to find that it was the complete opposite. We each ordered the lobster ravioli pasta "Special". There was nothing special about it. I've had canned tomato sauce that tasted better than this. It was not enjoyable at all. We did not stay for dessert, we instead went to get cake and ice cream elsewhere. The only enjoyable part of our experience was our waitress. She was pleasant and apologetic and kept us laughing. We definitely won't be back.
The first time I took my wife, and in laws for dinner. Service was very interesting, not sure if it is meant to me like this or not. We had a total of 6 different wait staff, and at the end, wasn’t sure who we were tipping. Someone different took our order, brought our food, brought our drinks, salads, deserts, ect. The second time, I was with a large business group, and we filled the back room. This time we only had 2 full time waiters. Both times the food was very good.
I've been to Cafe La Fontana for their Thanksgiving buffets the past few years. It's OK; they cover the bases well enough. Dessert is lackluster, though.
horrible burger came out raw and plain no lettuce ,tomato, onion, server told us they ran out of onion on a night you would think they would be trying to cater to customers (hatboro car show) they failed miserably will never go back would rather get a pizza from joes or for that fact eat at toweys tavern across the street
Prompt service, outstanding food, space between tables, and nice atmosphere.contribute to wonderful experience.
