My family and I ate here on the first night of our vacation recently and now we wish we lived closer! We worked our way through the tapas menu and everything was amazing! Krista and Tamber were our servers and they were fantastic! The service was perfect, they were excellent with our two small children and we always had everything we needed. Then there was the entertainment... The man playing guitar was incredibly talented! He was playing classic Spanish music and occasionally threw in a little Sinatra and Santana for good measure. We were seated rather close to him and he even played a couple of kids songs with a Spanish flair! The dancer was equally amazing and even took the time later to show our children how she gets ready to do shows and everything she uses in her dances... I have been in the restaurant business for 20 years and this staff was one that I would hire and work with any time! Thank you for an amazing experience!
This place is honestly a gem. The ambiance is wonderful especially in addition to the quirkiness of the pirate theme; the actual infrastructure of the dining areas provides a nice sectioning that reduces noise and bustle of other customers. On top of that, the food is phenomenal. I personally only order tapas when I go, mostly because I haven't found a reason to branch out into the rest of the menu (yet). The service is always kind and the live music is superb. I definitely suggest going here!
We love it here. Food is outstanding. Lunch is also really good. Their Chateaubriand for two is the best steak dinner I've had anywhere. Their twice baked potatoes are awesome, as is their Ropa Viejas. Good Spanish food, and good steaks. Great place to bring a date, a client, or to celebrate.
I cannot even tell you how wonderful this place was. All drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts were fancy and professional. The atmosphere was pleasantly unexpected, accompanied by Spanish music and entertainment. My whole family was completely blown away. We will always remember it.
place looks nice, but the waiter wasnt very nice at all. I asked for dressing on the side and he looked at me like I was crazy and said no, we dont recommend it that way. And I replied what if I dont like the dressing... he said OK fine, the Tapas platter was way over priced for what it was. 2 slice of ham, 2 slice of sausage, 4 thin slice of cheese and a few olives. Over all my chicken and spanish rice was ok..... Very over priced and not worth the trip. They need to have better selection of food and the wait staff really needs to be a lot friendlier..... No interest in going back nor would I recommend any one else go there.
Was disappointed that there was not a larger selection of serrano ham and no iberian ham to speak of at all but was very pleased by the rack of lamb and valencia chicken. The waiters are very kind and joke around with you, I was even allowed to flame the sugar over the crema catalan (which was excellent by the way). Four stars because I am stubborn and was looking forward to more ham but overall excellent quality of service and food.
I have only good things to say about this lovely restaurant. My husband and I have been dining at Cafe Don Jose for years and have never had anything bad to eat Everything is wonderful and the waiters and waitress all all great. The owner is a lovely friendly person . We love this place !!
Great tapas and ceviche! Our server Bill was awesome. Great beer suggestions and makes a mean cappuccino! First time customers... we will be back.
