The food was excellent and well cooked and the variety of sauces provide you a lot Choice. I also like how they have the sauces right by door in take out containers so you can load up on your favorites. The staff was extremely friendly as well with my family. The seating area is a counter top bench which for a family would be hard but as we live two min away it was no big deal to get take out and eat it at home The meat was cooked perfectly and was very tender and the ribs pulled cleanly from the bone. Pricing was on par with other BBQ places in the area I have been to. The do have a catering menu and a take out menu so it’s super easy to get this food on the go. The food we ordered was wrapped super secure and they used high quality bags and containers so nothing leaked in my expensive car on the way home The individual who gave this place a one star review must have been enjoying the 4/20 holiday a little too much to leave such a review or they were just mad about the price of the water

Burk's has been serving quality BBQ with kind service in Oakmont for just over a year, where they are tucked off the main drag on the river side. Limited seating inside (stools and counter). But in fair weather, there are a few picnic tables just up the street. I opted for the smoked bird, in this case a pulled chicken sandwich on a toasted and buttered bun. I was dubious of the mostly white meat, but the flavor profile was sweet and earthy. The thin and tangy signature sauce was a good primer, but I amped things up with the spicy sauce AND a touch of the seriously extra spicy sauce. Definitely a quality sandwich! I had the house made red skin potato salad as a side and it was equally enjoyable. I will return, and recommend you give it a try, as well.

Ordered threw grub hub, lots of meat on the pulled pork. The sauce was a lil to spicy for my taste but still was good on thw sandwich. The Mac n cheese is good taste like there is alot of black pepper in it kinda over powers it a bit, but other then that it's good.

Nice, cozy atmosphere. BUT, they only have a small number of seats along a wall bar, there is no dining area. Haven't tried the food yet, will update later.

This is a fantastic BBQ. The fragrance of smoke drew me there, and I couldn't resist a brisket sandwich and several sides. The meat was so tender it was falling apart, and the juices and tangy sauce make for a mouth watering experience. I would be at a loss to choose only two of the sides. I love the heat of the jalapeno corn muffins. The coleslaw is a healthy dish with oriental undertones. City corn is a great twist to your ordinary sweet corn off the cob. I love baked beans, and the best baked beans are as good cold as they are hot. The cowboy beans hit the spot. The collard greens are the best I have ever had. Burk's BBQ is worth a long drive to Oakmont!

The ribs were dry, overcooked, and were clearly not baby back ribs. All of our party questioned the quality as they pulled large tendons (??) out of the ribs. The coleslaw was dry as a bone - fairly inedible. A few of our group even used bbq sauce from my fridge over their sauces as well. The pulled pork, Mac n cheese, and cheddar muffins were good. We have had so-so experiences with Burk’s before but we will never be back after this time.

I ordered here 2 times. Combined I got full rack of ribs, brisket, pulled pork, Mac n cheese, Coleslaw, potato salad, greens, jalapeno cheddar muffin, and sauces. Brisket was the best of the meats. Ribs were too tender and there was weird wetness to them. Pulled pork was good. Sides were bland, greens were ok but I have had way better and the muffin was like a hockey puck! And all things considered the price was on the high side. Most likely won't be returning. I hoped for something better in our local area. Hopefully they take the feedback from the reviews and improve from it.

Absolute best BBQ in all of Pittsburgh hands down! Extremely high quality fresh meats. Everything they make is amazing, homemade sauces are definitely the best, hopefully they bottle and sell their sauces by the jar eventually. Worth the drive and definitely a must visit place to eat or pick up food when in the Pittsburgh area.
