Nasty bugs everywhere! I get that it's on the lake, but can ya pressure wash once a year or two?
Food was good, service and common sense was lacking....Large onion ring only half full with none in the bottom of the bag 😧. Waited in the drive through for over 10 mins. Then was never asked about any options for our kids meal.
Unfortunately, rude employees that make you feel like nuisance to go there. You can wait 15 minutes for something at the drive thru and they wont apologize. Heck, you're really lucky if you get a smile out of them. Customers keep places in business, try not to push them away.
Food spatter stuck to the ceiling in the play area. Kids said they can see food thrown on the upper window sills from the top of the playhouse. I can deal with soggy french toast sticks but this place seems a bit neglected when it comes to cleanliness. Beautiful view of the lake from the rundown outside eating area.
I had found myself in a peculiar situation, as one does sometimes in life, and needed a place to sit during the day. Well, it turned into two days. I would come in around 8 or 9 am and staff would still be serving breakfast. I buy a large coffee and tuck myself out of sight so they don't even know I'm there (trust me, even if they're just drinking a coffee, just looking at customers is hard work sometimes in food service) and leach internet...the entire day. Not. One. Employee. Said a sideways word to me, asked me to leave or buy something else. All they did was ask if I wanted more coffee. A small kindness when one was needed. Thanks to the employees.
I didnt like it. I thought the closing manager was rude. He had a bit of an attitude problem. My husband always asked for extra salt when he gets his food. The manager said, "There is salt already in it, you dont need more." So much for having it your way. Prior to that, My husband asked for napkins and straws and he was visibly upset about getting them. Ummm, ok? I'm sorry we asked for normal stuff at the restaurant. Again so much for having it your way.
I've never had a good experience there. They're always short staffed and overworked, and they've messed up my order every since time. They only get two stars because they have a play place for my kids, and the view of the lake is nice.
WEB Site states the PORT Clinton Ohio store is open until 12 MN. My wife gets off work at 10 PM and twice has gone there at about 10 20 PM 7 days per week and they were closed. (This Includes The Drive Thru) I called tonight to get the correct hours and they are only open until 10 PM not midnight. I suggested they change their WEB SITE To reflect this and was told that they had no control over that. Told me it was corporate and they had no control over it and then hung up. Talk about concern for customers.
