Finally made time to come try this place out. Thanks hood foodie for the recommendation. Let me start by saying as soon as you get near the parking lot you can already smell the deliciousness. I had the tri tip sandwich boy was it loaded. the meat is so lean and cooked to perfection. I also had 3 sides beans, coleslaw, n potato salad. All these sides just go well with the food. Unfortunately I didn't try the ribs, but I will be returning to give them a try. The sandwich was very savory definitely a hit in my opinion.

It's a small hole in the wall but the food I got was great. The lady taking our order is very nice and full of energy. I like that u smell the food cooking as you enjoy your own food, kinda gets you more hungry. They also make their own brownies and they vary at times. I would definitely come back with more people next time.

Ohh noooooo.... the reviews led me astray on this one!!! While this place is quaint and welcoming, and the owners vibrant and endearing; the food and drinks here fell short completely. To start everything was SWEET. The coffee, the bbq sauce, the sides (coleslaw/beans); everything tasted like it was from a bulk tub of something and overly processed. Nothing was made from scratch and half of it was inedible. It's not saying much, but the meats were the saving grace and had a nice smokiness to them… they were unfortunately slathered in a thick layer of sauce (see pic). If you're looking to support a local small business and want some basic bbq, this place is for you. If you're looking for the best smoked bbq in the greater Los Angeles area, this ain't it. There's so many great smoked bbq spots in LA (Slab, Bludsos, Moo's, APL, Swinging Door), save yourself the heartache we experienced. It's hard to have mediocre bbq after having really good smoked bbq. Trust me on this one!

Very fond memories of Vivian feeding me as a kid with very little money. A handful of friends and $20 got you a long way. Her generosity is something I have never experienced again. I miss eating here since I moved away!

Great food, from a funky little shack on the corner, run by a couple of fanatics who love life, people and great barbecue. Parking is tough if you don't snag one of the few spots out front, but this is worth your time if you like great Los Angeles BBQ. Writing this in June 2021, they are open for seating again, everything being spaced out in the small backyard where you can enjoy a very funky and cool environment along with good food. Full racks of ribs, excellent sandwiches, generous drink sizes, and a stoke that you're just going to need to come experience yourself.

All I said(no matter how rude) was a wheelchair would not be able to fit. You should've said, thanks for the info. I was trying to save you from the trouble before some American Disabilities Act wheelchair bound activist hell bent on making noise comes by and decides to slap you with a lawsuit. Have a good day

Just an all around solid experience every time. If you're a BBQ purist you could probably nit pick some problems but I have no complaints. Viv and Bruce are fantastic people with a passion for feeding their community and their love comes out in the food. Breakfast burritos are on point, BBQ is delicious and never dry, coffee is always solid. Also the potato salad is legit one of the best I've had. 10/10 hit this spot up if you want a casual BBQ experience

I haven’t eaten the food yet and already want to recommend this place. Vivian has one of the most beautiful spirits I’ve encountered. She makes you feel like family as soon as you walk through the door. She gave me a sample of their bbq baked beans while I was waiting and no lie they were the best bbq baked beans I’ve ever tasted. Also the Kool-aid is A1!!! Highly recommend!
