This was my first time eating at Brother Jimmy's BBQ. The staff were friendly and professional. I ordered carryout from the bar and the service was quick and efficient. I don't agree with charging gratuity for carryout orders, but Jimmy's isn't the first place I've seen the rule. I ordered the catfish bites which were very good and flavorful. The portion was slightly less than I expected. I also ordered the pick two sampler with brisket, pulled pork and greens. The brisket and greens were excellent. The pork had to much vinegar for my liking. I'm not a bread person but the cornbread was also tasty. Overall good experience.

Horrible. Got there when the business wasn't very busy. They seated us at a dirty table, never gave us silverware, and no server came to greet us. Not once were we offered drinks or acknowledged. We had to get a random worker to give us drinks. Then we ordered a $32 combo meal and got 1/2 portions of cold, dry meats and lousy Mac and cheese. The amount of food we got for how much it was did not make sense. And the restaurant manager didn't really seem to care about the issues and gave us an employee discount to "fix it." Save yourself the trip, go somewhere else. Eat at Nandos or Grace's. Also, they automatically make you tip 15%. Probably because of the horrible service and food. Get new management.

I was greeted when I walked in. The server was kind for the most part. I didn’t understand why my bill was placed on the empty table behind me or why we had to ask for plates when we got our appetizers. This seemed like a self-serve table at this point. The food was a major disappointment. First, it wasn’t served hot. The Mac and cheese was chalky and bland. The cornbread was DRY. Jiffy would’ve sufficed if the kitchen staff was sleepy. The portion sizes are for toddlers. I got the two meat portion for $24 and I got about half the size of a chicken breast. The brisket was flavorful, but again I like my food served HOT. It didn’t come with any bread and I was charged $1 for a bun. Two people in our party said their sweet tea was watery. How can you mess that up? The catfish bites and old bay wings were very good. You don’t get much at this place and it’s way overpriced for the portions. You likely got half the catfish for $12 about 8 wings for $16.95. Yikes. Two others sent their food back reluctantly and the manager took the feedback well. The A/C was on IGLOO mode and we were right under the vent so no wonder our food didn’t even stay warm long. First time and the last time. I hope they come together to figure out a way to up these star ratings. Not a representation of NC at all.

I saw reviews that wasn’t a good place to eat but I really loved. Asked a rare burger and it was perfect, the meat was from quality! And the fries is a little different that the others I asked here but still loved the crunchy way 😋 Rhee was very sweet and patient since we are gringos (BR) and had some questions about the some plattes and sides. They were connected to TNT and some other channels exhibiting NBA, hockey and baseball (ESPN). Resume: loved the place, the food, that service and would come back again!

The reviews for this place say the best thing on the menu is the sides and this appears to be true. The pulled pork tasted like pepper and not smoke. But the Mac and cheese was pretty good and it was the best cornbread I’ve ever had. It was so good that I asked for a second order. But when you’re a bbq place, people should come for your meat and leave thinking about it, not your cornbread.

OMG!! I just had THE BEST collard greens ever!! I ordered the catfish platter and they were my side item. Cornbread came with it and was DELICIOUS! Catfish was ok though. 😘to the chef!!!

Nachos served in a bowl and quickly turn to soup. BBQ chicken quesadilla was try and lacked any flavor. Wings were "edible" according to my husband. Our server was great though!

Went here while attending a convention at the Gaylord National Resort. This was such a lucky find! At first we were worried that the place was packed but the hostess kindly advised us that we could sit at the bar to bypass waiting for a table. We were eating as a couple so this was a wonderful suggestion. The couple next to us recommended the fish bowl drink for it's value and I absolutely agree! The food was incredible too. I loved the ribs and wolfed them down. Very satisfying meal.
