Coming under new ownership, this spot has remained a Nantucket staple. Fantastic to get fish that really tastes fresh. Strong menu left me struggling to narrow down my choices! I definitely was ready to come back and order anything I did not get to try. Good portions and a casual environment for dinner. Make sure to book ahead as this place is certainly popular. I am excited to see what is to come for this spot and the return of breakfast!

My girlfriend loves the restaurant and the staff provided excellent service and they are very friendly. They often checked in on us for food and water. My favorite dish was the fresh tomato pork curry. I was amazed by the creativity of the chef. It blends the authentic Asians flavors into the dish and presentation was on point. The spice was mild, pleasant and unexplainable like they dropped a magical pouch of goodness! I strongly recommend this restaurant for dates and family meet ups.

Absolutely delicious menu, paired with intimate and inviting environment. What truly sets this place apart is the opportunity to watch the skilled chef, Todd Edwards create his incredible food in front of you. With the recent change in management, the quality of the dining experience has soared to new heights and I will be returning every chance I get!

Brought my family here two years ago and had a memorable experience, from the food to the service. I was excited to return. The mood of this place has changed drastically this summer, and I mean drastically! The wait staff is cold and entitled. The portions are small, but even worse, the entrees are uninspired. Not picky, but if you charge $10 for 4 slices of bread, it should be better than Panera. In short, I will never return and I wish them luck.

Racially Insensitive Behavior Black Eyed Susan's was one of my favorite places on the island. I heard that management changed and the place is not as good. I experienced this first hand and in the worst way possible. I had a 7pm reservation--this is the first reservation of the evening. I was the first one in the restaurant seated last night. I had a great seat. I chatted up the cook and told him I'm so glad that he came back. And I was seated at the lunch counter--the only seat for a single diner. The waitress seated two people to my left. There were two seats to my right. She tapped me on the shoulder and asked me to move down two seats--which put me at the end of the counter, next to the bathroom --you can smell the bathroom from the seat, next to the back kitchen where they wash dishes. And, now, I was in the shared space where the servers ring up checks. I'm black. I am single. I am a woman. I say this is racially insensitive because perhaps they have no idea how black people have been historically treated at lunch counters. I am the only black diner in the establishment. And you ask me to move down two seats so you can more comfortably seat a white couple? Why couldn't they sit at the two empty seats at the end of the counter. I sat there stewing for a while and then took action and asked for a different seat after much anxiety. She told me she had a party of six scheduled BUT there were over 12 empty seats at the counter. She refused to reseat me. The lunch counter was empty. I got up to leave and told the waitress why. She scoffed and waved goodbye--like "don't let the doorknob hit you" she never said that but that was how it felt. She then thought better of it and offered me a better seat. She sat no one in the seat where she tried to sit me all night. She sat no one beside me. No party of six came in. They treated me with barely concealed contempt all night. They seated no one in the undesirable seat by the bathroom where they tried to seat me. The food was delicious as usual but the experienced caused heartburn.....and heartache. I tipped 25% because why give them further reason to stereotype people who look like me. You will find that most of the bad reviews point to the service and the hostess--in the past they've been rude--this time I truly believe race was a factor.

Really glad the restaurant has re-opened. Prices are way up, however, so value prop has eroded -- for a casual, open kitchen format. Not everything was equally good, but we are glad that old faithful's like the tuna tartare and the linguine with clam sauce have been kept on the menu! Great that they're now taking credit cards, however. As a PS, we did miss the previous box fans in the windows. It was crazy hot for a cool evening.

Saw the reviews so figured I would try it out. There was a short wait on a Sunday morning to get a seat. Place is small. Sat at counter. Had a guy wait on us, he seemed a little grumpy. In any case, I ordered the sourdough french toast and it was awesome. As were the sides. Overall it was a great spot to eat. I enjoyed the food. Coffee was also good.

Very disappointed by our experience. An expensive restaurant with nice service and yet owners think it is OK to squeeze 3 of us on a table for 2 by the bathroom at the back (having got up early to book first and request being near a window). We used to love coming here but this has gone the way of many Nantucket restaurants where any respect for the customer has vanished.
