My Nephew was Blessed with a Bride and after the ceremony he made reservations. Daniel our Server was Amazing everyone were served drinks and their appetizers fresh and hot, our main courses cooked to perfection, and dessert to take home.. One the Great Experiences is there is Only ONE Black Angus in Sacramento area and treat to drive out for an Extraordinary dining experience.

Everything was fine, until the food arrived. My friend and I were craving a good steak so we indulged and decided to go to an actual steakhouse for a treat. We came in on a slow weekday night and our waitress was lovely, very helpful in making sure we were comfortable. Firstly, they had mismatched and forgotten our sides. My steak was served with my friend’s sides, and my friend’s plate had my side of pilaf and was even missing the green beans I had initially asked for. However, the staff was nice to offer extra sides and brought them to us quickly. But then we cut into our steaks.. One of ‘em was undercooked and not cooked to order. Almost half of my steak only consisted of fat, then as I picked away the mushrooms on top I realize the meat had that iridescent sheen to it (see video). I understand that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s gone bad, but maybe make the effort of preventing or hiding it, because not all guests know this and would be immediately put off. This really ruined both of our appetites. We were starving before we came in, but all we could stomach were the fries and veggies. The rice even tasted like something you’d get from a microwaveable pouch. The thing is— we really wouldn’t have cared about the sides if the steaks were just done right. We expected much more from a place that calls itself a “steakhouse”; you had ONE JOB and I’m sorry, but whoever was cooking that night really blew it. If you’re charging $30+ a plate, it better be the best damn steak in town. So we’re charged $90ish for just two horribly done (possibly rancid?) steaks, an iced tea and a coke? A manager was kind enough to give us a discount and we end up only paying for one dish instead of two for $50. The interior feels very outdated and stuffy. The 80s style fabric booths look like they were once brighter colors and have browned over the decades. I can only imagine what the carpet is really like, it was too dark to tell. Our overhead light was very harsh too and overall not a pleasant atmosphere to dine in. Quite honestly, I would have just left the sweet waitress a good tip and dashed it. We both agreed we could have gotten a tastier steak combo at a Denny’s or Mel’s. This was our first time trying this place and most likely also our last time.

Food was great, service was good too. Friendly staff and great menu selections. This place is in need of updates. The restroom was so old, broken tiles, sink wasn't in good shape, cracks in fixtures and nothing matched. The couch in front had patches from material deterioration. If you have a somewhat nice place, have nice restrooms and seating.

This was a birthday dinner for one of our friends there. We all had very good food! A few of us took some home!! The waitress was very nice and saw to it that we had everything that we needed. She filled my water glass twice! Nobody else needed more. She checked to see if we wanted more wine - we didn't, but she wanted to be sure!

I love going to Black Angus for a lovely intimate meal. The staff is always so nice and friendly serving up great smiles...

Today my family and I all had the fall trios. Came with a sirloin steak, lobster tails, shrimps and 2 sides. My choice of side was the greens beans & Au Gratin potatoes. My steak was cooked to perfection and so was the seafood. Everything was so flavorful even the sauces. The sides were fresh and everything was steaming hott like when its just made. We also had the spinach and chip dip sooo yummy. Its always a great experience when the server is great too, she was very attentive & friendly. And I loved how much she smiled. I forgot her name but she worked today & we were there at 6pm.

The food was not bad, but the fries and onion rings were room temperature. I personally feel like fries and onion rings should be cooked right before it leaves the kitchen.

We went out for family brunch. We had great food and awesome service!!! We will definitely be back.
