This is my favorite super market in East Bay. They have so many varieties here. I always come here for spinach fresh made pasta and house brand cookie dough and moz cheese. Staff here are always very helpful and friendly too. Highly recommended!

You can get pretty much any type of grocery item you could want from here. They also have a wonderful selection of cosmetic products (healthy and curated). It’s a magical store! (Also the free parking lot and garage are a huge bonus). They also have a coffee shop attached to the store. It does get very busy on weekends though but they make it quick at check out. Would definitely recommend this amazing market!

Most organic food, fresh fruits and vegetables, wonderful service and wonderful price.

One of two locations. Berkeley Bowl is the BEST grocery store in the Bay Area. There are others that have similar quality products/ produce but not at the reasonable prices you find at The Bowl. Top-notch fish and meat counters, olive bar, a dizzying selection of sauces, oils, vinegars, and ethnic foods. If you have dietary restrictions, you will find the alternatives you need here. And the produce! Domestic and exotic, guided by the season with some perennial favorites, you can find almost anything here in the fruit-veggie-mushroom realm. There is also a bulk food section. Grains, flours, nuts, pasta, snack foods… you name it. Their deli is vast and includes delicious house-made sushi, pizza, sandwiches and soups. You can also buy pre-made versions of these from a cold case. I could go on. Suffice to say that this store has it all. And at the best price.

You have got to see this store! It has a Whole Foods vibe, but more down to earth. When you first walk in there's an impressive bread selection. I was amused to see "ACME Bread", it reminded me of the Road Runner and Coyote Looney Tunes cartoon. I now know where the Coyote goes shopping. 😆 I like how the have an assortment of national beands next to smaller regional brands. I've seen one or two items from Spectrum Brands at Walmart, but at Berkeley Bowl I saw a large assortment of food oils from Spectrum, pretty impressive. At first I didn't realize the produce section was divided into "organic" and "conventional". I was having deja vu.....wait, didn't I see sweet potatos and oranges a little while ago? They also have a deli, hot foid, and sushi section. And the meat department also carries the "Flat Iron" cuts that you can't find at mainstream grocery stores. Bring your small car if you plan to park in their parking lot, the slots are narrow. If you must bring an SUV, try parking in their underground parking, the slots are wider. There's a cafe outside facing the main entrance. I forgot to check it out when I exited the store. I need to go back for a second trip just to check it out. 🤠

A fantastic selection of produce and bulk foods at great prices. Prices of packaged food is not as great. There is a good selection of specialty foods and foods native to other countries. There are also a lot of natural health products. Check out the bargain section (hidden in a far corner of the produce section) for deals on produce and other items.

Great grocery store with a great selection of produce and organic products. It’s a really special place in the East Bay.

Love coming here, pricing is reasonable for quality and is cheaper than other health food stores plus they have an immense selection of items. Literally I can get overwhelmed by the shear number of individual items they have. The mushrooms and pears were so gorgeous last time I was there. Plus they sell my fav bagels ever.
