Really good food . Had its own unique flavors didn't all taste the same like most buffet bars. Cool concept, you get all the food brought to your table right away. Decent size proportions too.

Just skip this place. We have NO idea how this place has 4.5 stars. It is a dirty hole in the wall, but not the good kind. Our server just killed a roach and threw it away, and didn’t wash her hands. The food was just not good. The catfish was okay and so were the beans but that was all. My husband did like the potato salad. The corn bread was nasty and the yeast rolls … I think someone forgot to add the yeast they were dry and crumbly inside. Our peach cobbler had maybe 4 peach slices in it. Still so baffled at those 4.5 stars from well over 2,000 people. This has to be the worst restaurant I have ever been too. Also, it was $18 a person. Trust me on this I hardly give negative reviews… avoid this place.

This is a wonderful locally owned restaurant. Huge portions of vegetables and meat brought to the table or turntable! Good country cooking, nice people and attentive server. Pay first and leave a tip at the table. Plenty of parking and clean restrooms.

Friendly service and excellent food! Our family stopped in for lunch and had such a lovely time! The food is great and very plentiful. Everyone left full and happy! Thank you for a wonderful family-friendly lunch!

While vacationing in Chattanooga we were on a tight budget so only ate out twice in the 9 days of our stay. This was one of the two, because I wanted fried catfish, and we were terribly disappointed. (I admit when asked how everything was I only said, "It wasn't what I was expecting, but it was fine." I didn't have the heart or energy to get into all the particulars in person with the owner.) I wish I had read the review about bland, canned food before planning our visit. While the staff was great, the decor is dated at best and dreary at worst. Yellowed articles, black and white photos, and tables are all at least 30-40 years old. Nothing feels fresh or bright, from the 70's wood paneling and ceiling tiles to the brown ceramic plates. I saw all of this in photos before my visit and was prepared to overlook all in light of the rave reviews about the food. It's really about the food! Of the 13 items that were served, I only cared for 4 (as defined by taking more than two bites), but even those four were just mediocre. Everything was bland, like the kitchen lost the salt and pepper. Only chicken breast was served, no dark meat. The catfish was over battered and overcooked. The sides were all bland, overcooked, and likely canned or frozen. Have I mentioned bland? Dessert options, chocolate pudding and peach cobbler, were similarly disappointing. The cobbler "crust" was so chewy it required a knife, was soupy, and had very little (canned) fruit .. maybe 5-6 slices in our whole serving dish. The chocolate pudding had some sort or white cake/crumb throughout and was described by my granddaughter as "crunchy". She wasn't kidding .. chocolate chips aren't what is expected in a creamy dessert. Granddaughter asked if she could have a pop tart at the hotel, instead. Yes, kiddo, you can! Restaurants are expensive for one of two reasons, high quality or excessive waste. I am sure which is the case here. This place COULD be great with a refreshed dining room and menu. Here's my challenge .. create a spot worthy of NEW articles and clients. I know it's possible!

I have not been there in two and a half years. Service was excellent, and fried chicken was still the best. I can not say the other side dishes were as I remembered. Most were obviously from canned or not original recipes. Too bad, prices have increased, but quality has decreased. No longer a good value. The time was just after 12:00 on a Wednesday and had less than 40% occupancy. The new location for the cash register was a good idea though.

This restaurant take me back to my childhood. Everything on the table tastes just like it did years ago. Fried chicken, veggies and peach cobbler were delicious.

I love home cooked food and the whole idea of it being served on a turn table. Their yeast rolls were amazing, so was the Cole slaw mashed potatoes, beets, fired chicken, and greens. I love the older atmosphere. So glad we found this gem.
