User Reviews

It was nice inside. The jars the drinks come in are very cute. The drinks we chose tasted ok. The staff wasn't very friendly or welcoming. If we come back again, we'll definitely try a different flavor.

They are always so kind and quick. I love their drinks! I usually get the milk tea with boba, but have been trying out their seasonal drinks lately. I highly recommend their watermelon slush with lychee! Their mango slush is also refreshing and delicious. Not only are the drink esthetically pleasing, they are also so yummy. They have coffee and teas as well!!

Very nice drinks. Loads of options to customize what they offer to your liking. Nice clean sitting areas on the interior/exterior; including a multitude of large scale glass windows, so you can see on-going traffic and pedestrians walking by (very relaxing setting). Covid-19 friendly in regards to ease of ordering as well.

Average Milktea/Bubble Tea in Town I gave this a 3.5 for the drink and 4.5 for the parking lot. I had a chance visiting the beloved campus town during this Covid season, and the first thing to do was looking for any new stores. That was how I found our Bearology. Location is very easy to find. If you are driving from downtown toward campus on University ave, the store is on the left. The parking is behind the store and it can be crowded at certain time. You can park near the church, which is right behind. The store left me with no impression. It's regular, but that's fine. There are plenty of space to sit down. There are some decoration, but it could be that they don't do much decoration during COVID. I ordered four drinks which were all milk tea - Thai tea, two regular, and coffee. I added extra boba and aloe jelly. They were just fine and regular. I didn't see a special taste and were kinda plain to me. The chewy boba did provide some texture to the drinks. I would not recommend milktea without boba. Overall, it's an ok place to visit, but there are better spots on campus. My review is my personal taste, so why don't you give the store a try?

Nice little spot for coffee, smoothies and teas.

A great little study spot! Cute deco and quick service. I got thai milk tea with almond milk half sugar and bubbles and my friend got strawberry milk tea with lychee jelly. The bubbles weren’t the best - they were kinda hard/a bad texture BUT the teas were both very good and the lychee had a strong lychee flavor! Bonus for sustainable/eco-friendly people because you get to keep the cup and you get a discount when you bring it back! (I brought my own reusable glass straw, they don’t sell them here.) They don’t have a lot of milk tea options but they have lots of other interesting flavors on their menu that I look forward to trying. 👀

Not a fan. I've tried many places in Chicago and this place is just gimicky and overpriced. We basically each (7 of us) tried a different flavor and we all had the same conclusion about this place. Not worth the money We waited 40mins for fresh Boba to go with our milk tea and it was just mediocre

I had a sweet experience at Bearology today. Andrei made a delicious watermelon slush, and his customer service was great! The music and ambiance is pretty chill. I’m definitely coming back again in the future.
