We were seated immediately (went after 8 pm) and the service was excellent. The atmosphere is really calming and hopping. My family enjoyed their food; ordered a dish I probably shouldn’t have, but the seafood was definitely fresh. The base was a bit thin and too runny, but I would definitely be back to try a different entree. It’s family friendly-lots of opportunities to keep kids busy woth the decor and shelf items.

My partner and I intended to bring our little family to somewhere else, but when I called THAT PLACE, they informed us that they were very busy but we were welcome to try and get a table(with a kid? Lol maybe some other time, thanks). A quick search for an American dine in place brought me to Barn Door and based off their menu, I gave them a call to see if they required a reservation and the person who answered the phone signed me up for a reservation right then and there(in such a friendly way I was already halfway there before I realized what happened!) The parking lot is actually a one way who's entrance is off the main road. There are additional parking spots in front of the building. There really isn't an area outside to eat aside from the tables lining the parking spaces (where there's a car grill up against your table and no barrier...) The exit is out to a side street which makes re-entering the main road easy. As you enter, you're greeted by a small hostess area and a pretty popular bar. The dining room is a little cramped. The staff are friendly and helpful and quick! They bolted around making sure all the guests were tended to and satisfied with their service. Now upon initial inspection, the menu looked a bit pricey for a roadside diner/bar, HOWEVER, it was worth every penny. My burger(well done) was juicy and flavorful and mixed responsibly with it's burger toppings. My partners burger(also well done and well made) had a little too much sauce(could be too much, could be in need of layering adjustment 😉) but delicious, nonetheless. The fries were crunchy, tasty, and fresh! Our child, with their discernible pallette, had buttered noods. We requested parmesan cheese(like heathens 🤣🤣) and they produced freshly shredded( 😳 )parmesan. 8-year-old approved pasta 👍 👍 Pros: service, food, price, drinks Cons: parking, dining space utilization, tap water Total score 1-10: 7

Ive been craving french onion soup and the Eggplant Tower. Both were excellent. The Eggplant tower was prepared just the way i like it. 👍🏼

Stopped in here simply because it was so conveniently located where I was traveling and it was delicious!!! Friendly, laid back staff with a solid beer selection and a nice cold tap. I had the Sesame Crusted Tuna special with a Goose Island IPA.. highly recommend!

Great little restaurant in CT. The food was awesome. The atmosphere was great. Great place to bring your family.

The food here is so delicious that my kids ask to come back! You cannot go wrong with the salmon entree. Everyone working there is kind and we love coming to Barn Door.

I had high expectations for this place since it's a busy spot. I ordered online. They got my order wrong. They were maybe 1/4 of the way full when I went. The food was middling compared to what they're charging, even considering the area. The interior is absolutely wonderful though and the service was great. Parking will be stressful when it's busy but there's no helping that.

Wow! The prices are so reasonable and the service was outstanding! We spent a good 3 hours here, first as a couple for dinner, then moved to a bigger table for drinks with friends. The Maine Muscles and the Littleneck Clams were off the charts! I was in food heaven, dipping the fresh hot bread in the delicious juice each dish had at the bottom of the bowl. Both different in flavor but equally amazing. Dessert! Meyer Lemon Cupcakes; not too sweet, done just right.
