Bangkok Silver Bowl is no more. And I will miss their wonderful Thai food. It was my favorite Thai place in the area. Now a new Thai food place is there. I recently tried it and am disappointed. Whenever I try a new Thai place, I always get the basics. I believe if the pad thai is good, then I will be fine with most on their menu. I will compare the new to the old for those who also loved the Silver Bowl, as the new place is not listed online yet. So as I said, I got pad thai chicken medium spice. First, the noodles reminded me of the store bought microwaveable meals. So not good in my opinion. They also made tofu an option as a "meat" instead of how it used to be included, and it is now a lime instead of a lemon (not a big deal). The sauce was a bit soupy and not as spicy as Silver Bowl's was for a medium. Then the onions were shoots instead of chopped (not bad for me, but I know there are picky people out there that don't want a mouthful of onion at once). I did get some shrimp chips, cause I love them, and the only complaint I have with that is they don't come with the sauce (which I think was a sweet and sour sauce). They were still delicious though. All in all, I would give this experience a 2.5/5. Now, I may have just had a bad experience. I would still recommend to those that love Silver Bowl to give this new place a try and judge for yourself. If the old owners are listening, I want the recipes for the old food!

I almost always get the Pad Pak with curry. (chicken as meat) They do a very good job with coconut based curry dishes. (Light and tasty but still with tons of flavor.) As for their other dishes, I order them as a second dish sometimes if I'm really hungry (my girlfriend and I usually split 1 dinner sized order.). They've all been ok, but none taste as good as the pad pak with curry.

I've had Silver Bowl a dozen times, ordered chicken drunken noodle each time because it's my favorite. I've had this dish at several restaurants, Silver Bowl makes it best IMO.

Decent pad ped for the area still doesn't compare to Bangkok 96 in Dearborn but when you're in Clawson you're not going to drive 40 minutes for Thai unless you're crazy the food was decent just not as fresh not as tasteful and quantity wasn't all there

I have been going here since they opened and love it. The fried rice and spring rolls are my favorite.

Really like their Pad Thai and spring rolls.
