User Reviews

Thuroughly scoured reviews before ordering, and generally they have the right of it. I'd give it about a 6/10. Whoever said it was the Denny's of italian food was right. I can't speak to the service or ambience as I got takeout, waited about 45 minutes between order and arrival at the store. I also had the experience another person had with the bag being so wet it just immediately tore, but thankfully my order was in a plastic bag as well so it didn't get all over my car. The bread was fine, all the seasoning was on top instead of in the dough, and it was warm and also fully cooked. Kinda had the mouthfeel of pizza crust, and it wasn't rock hard, which is what I was worried about. The marketing is a little superficial for what you get: aggressively average Italian food, but I don't regret trying it. Pros: - Hot - Wet - Fully cooked - Looks decent Cons: - Extremely watery. I don't know why, but I suspect this is why it's not as flavorful - Flavor balance was weird. I got the creamy pesto and the dried tomatoes absolutely dominated every bite they were in. It feels like maybe 1 cup of pesto for every 16 cups of cream sauce. - Got my order wrong - I ordered the spicy italian sausage because I was anticipating flavorlessness bases on the reviews, and instead I received grilled chicken. It was all cooked all the way, not too tough, but was definitely not marinated or seasoned before being added. For all of this, after tip, fees, and tax, I paid a little under $30, which is not worth a return trip to me. I don't think I'll get food poisoning, and it was filling, but the Denny's comparison holds true: if you have anywhere else you can go, maybe pass on here. If you do go, bring your own spices.

The food was acceptable as were the prices but I was overcharged for my drinks. I ordered happy hour martinis which should have been $7 each but was charged $13 each and it wasn't even a martini, it was just vodka on the rocks. They took care of the issue but it took 10 minutes to resolve it. Also I'm not a fan of the 3% service charge they tack on. Are we in Vegas?

No flavor, small portions, expensive, service ok. The best part of the meal was the bread. After that the meal went downhill. We order prosecco and they were out. We ordered a petite salad and came on a saucer plate, three bites for 5.95. Then our manicotti was bland and acidic, two tube for around $18. Our mushroom pasta hardly had any mushrooms. We sat in the bar area to watch the basketball game and they don't subscribe to local games? The place was empty on a Friday night at 6:45 should have been our first clue. I remember when it was packed and had good food and prices. Many other choices around. Was so disappointed didn't even take photos of the presentation. Decided to bring food home and see if we could add flavor so we could eat it.

Placed a takeout order online and their system was down. No big deal… but called to see if they received my order and to see when to pick it up and the man who answered was extremely frustrated and hung up upon me asking if they received my online order. I called back and spoke to a different person that was helpful but heard the man in the background complaining. Food was pretty good for what it was but packaging leaked. People can control how they handle tough situations. I work in costumer service too… try to keep a cool head and detach emotionally from the situation for the better of everyone. You are there to help, if that doesn’t bring you joy then might want to find a different place to work.

Consistently good food. Not busy at all over lunch. Always love bread and olive oil. Nice side caesar too. Have been several times. Would go back.

Babbo Cave Creek is top notch for dining in, or takeout. Same delicious, fresh tasting ingredients every time we dine. Tonight was my first time ordering takeout and I was very impressed. I NEVER leave reviews but as a former Director in F&B, I have to applaud the entire team on best, freshest and most flavorful meatball sandwich. Chance (who’s waited on MY HUSBAND CHANCE -easy to remember - and I many times) called to let me know it was ready early. By time I drove there, and returned home it was still scorching hot and delicious. Bread was included to-go and was offered parm, oil, vin, utensils all to go. Will be ordering more often! Thanks again!

The creamy pesto sauce was pretty good - needed a little more basil and parmigiana. Served on curly noodles without Asking me what type of pasta I would like. The wine was watered down and the bread was definitely not Italian. Why not play some Italian music to improve the atmosphere?I came in as a single diner, and the waiter was rather indifferent. Made for diners who have never tasted Italian food in Italy.

The food was amazing & at a reasonable, inflation adjusted level. The bread was wonderful. I've expanded beyond the spaghetti 🍝 & meatballs and it has been well worth it. The salads are fresh & tasty too. I will be going back for more!
