Called to make a reservation, but was told we didn't need it. The bar was packed, and happy hour specials are only good in the bar. After a drink in the bar, we took our table and placed an order for Bauernschmaus (German Sampler for Two). It comes on two platters as there is so much food it would never fit on one. The schnitzel was a good, but the breading seemed to be missing some seasoning. A quick squeeze of the lemon, and away we go. The sausages were as expected. Very tasty. The sourkraut and red cabbage added to the meal in a great way. Finally, the pork chop with applesauce rounded out the plate with flavors that teased the tongue. As if we didn't have enough food already, we ordered the struedel and creme brulee for dessert. Delicious. Knowing now how much food this is, I would suggest this exact meal would be perfect for 3 people, not just 2.

Unfortunately it is a distinct style of german/Austrian food and the menu did not elaborate or clarify. For instance the jaeger schnitzel was not breaded, had a red wine type of sauce and 3 mushrooms more as a garnish - unlike a traditional Jaeger sauce, cream based with mushrooms. The rotkohl was underdone and bland. The Kase spetzle was only thing not a disappointment. Wanted to love this place but was so disappointed.

Fantastic dinner! Osso Bucco perfect. Excellent service. Do yourself a favor and enjoy a wonderful evening at this throw back to fine dining.

We went here in early 2021 as things were getting re-balanced post-COVID. this was a much much more enjoyable experience. the food was German, but mostly good. service was spot on. it was busy but not overwhelming ot noisy. none of us were a fan of the escargot...cheese and snails were not a winning combination. but everything else was e joyable. pretty decent wine list. recommended when in Mammoth.

Not impressed at all with the food here. Granted it was a to go order but the jaegerschnitzel looks terrible and doesn’t taste much better. The 2 stars were because they actually answered the phone and were generally helpful. Will not go back though.

Great spot for post-ski eats. Happy hour menu is solid. Homemade sausage is incredible and goes well with the European beers on draft. Gets busy and the service isn’t stellar but it’s an easy walk from Canyon Lodge!

Absolutely FABULOUS! Without question the best elk I have ever had - tender, lean, melt in your mouth good. Staff was very friendly, attentive and fun. All in all a wonderful night.

Got the feeling that our business wasn't wanted, so we left. Had a dinner reservation, but more than 30 minutes of almost zero attention and not being able to make even a drink order left us pretty disenchanted. Myself and a few others arrived a few minutes early for a 7pm reservation and checked in with the hostess. There were a few other parties there waiting, some of which looked like they had been there a long time already. It was obvious the staff was very busy, so we waited patiently for our table to be ready. Understandable given COVID staffing shortages. 15 minutes later, we were still standing there, so I checked with an employee - we were seated a few minutes after that, but the feeling I got was that they had forgotten about us. We were given waters and some bread. I asked if we could order some drinks - the staff member let us know she wasn't our server, but that our server would be by soon. 15 minutes later, still no server, still no drinks. We finished the bread and left without anyone noticing. One of our party realized he left his wallet there, so we returned 10 minutes later, table was exactly as we had left it. Was looking forward to good food and atmosphere, but ended up with a pretty disappointing experience. Really hope things turn around soon.
