It was a wonderful experience. The place was clean and the service was excellent. They definitely give you your money's worth.

Nice little restaurant. It seemed like everyone that came in was a regular and it was a nice quiet place to get a bite. My server Wendy was fantastic. My food was great too I got the Ashland burger. My only complaint was the manager. She was not very friendly and was fussing at staff right in front of me! Very unprofessional. As a restaurant manager myself I would never speak to my employees that way, if she talks like that to them in front of people I can't imagine how she treats them behind closed doors.
While the atmosphere and food was adequate my server Wendy was fabulous. She was attentive, helpful and very friendly. However, I witnessed management berate her in front of us and other diners. I was embarrassed for her and feel that behavior very unprofessional, unnecessary and unbecoming of management personnel. This shows extremely poor management and people skills. Not everyone should be put in charge or given positions of authority.
From rhe outside parking lot, the place looks like a convience store. Inside was eh, but outdoor seating looked more inviting. They did have a good selection on their menu and prices were decent. My husbands himefries came out cold although the top was hot ans the plate was hot which made it seemed it was from a microwave! And to top it off, it was brought out 6 minutes before our breakfast came out. When our food came I requested a new plate of home fries and the waitress said ok and explained she was sorry she had forgot to put it in the original order and had to place a seperate order for that. When the new home fries came out, it was night and day these were fresh and hot and much more on the plate then before. The french toast tasted like they were frozen french toast and not fresh home made ones. Now WE NEVER SAW THE WAITRESS AGAIN!!! The check was left under one of the plates of food. After the food comes you do get checked up on, but not with the waitress we had.
Apparently this place has been sold and former waitstaff did not remain. Five of us went for dinner at 6pm and still had not been acknowledged by 6:30. Seven tables had not been cleared. We had no set ups and had to search for them ourselves. The food was no better or worse than it had been previously. I know prices have gone up everywhere but the increase here was astronomical. The new owner could not operate the POS nor the lottery machine. While the new remodel is beautiful it does not make up for the lack of service. About 20 minutes before we left the AC was shut off obviously to save money giving us more incentive to leave.
The new remodeling looks nice. Crab soup didn't taste right. Chicken was dry. Sides were good.
Great place, we sat outside and it was wonderful, Joyce was wonderful and the crab cake was amazing. The patio was very clean and pleasant. Great atmosphere and food. We really enjoyed this wonderful lunch.
