Stumbled upon this place while everyone was hungry and needed some food and a good glass of wine. By a stroke of luck, they had someone cancel and they were able to squeeze us in. How lovely!! The atmosphere and the staff were good. I appreciated how efficient and caring they were. Now the food: Oh my Soul!!! The food is really good. I can’t stop raving about the rack of lamb. Cooked to perfection! My boyfriend had the sweetbreads and the poached oysters, while we don’t approve of poaching, this was good. (JK, just a silly joke) But seriously, stop reading this review and go experience it for yourself.

It’s kind of in cabin town, so was thrilled to find a place near our Airbnb with a farm to table concept. The grounds are gorgeous (honestly wanted to stick around and explore and appreciate the scenery), and while we ate inside the old world dining room feeling restaurant, we were slightly jealous of the diners on the adorable screened in brick dining patio. Our server was pleasant and accommodating to one of our party’s gluten allergy (GF diners can have most menu items prepped safely). Decent wine selection, great food presentation, and service was fast on everything. We had the duck, halibut, filet mignon, pâté, and several desserts. All were good!

My husband and I just celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary and always enjoy a staycation around this time of year. We were recommended this restaurant by the owner of a lovely B&B in Searsport (Captain Nickels Inn- I highly recommend a visit) and I’m so glad we were able to get a table at such a busy time of year. The drive from Searsport was lovely (about 30 mins). We got a table in the small dining room which was very cozy. They have a covered patio also which works well in all weather conditions. Our food was amazing!! Our waiter, an older gentleman, made our evening. I’m so glad we discovered yet another gem in the Blue Hills of Maine. We’ll be back.

As good as it gets. Truly Michelin quality without the hoopla or price. We got in only because of a late cancellation Family atmosphere, warm surroundings and welcome by all staff. Duck was superb; sweetbreads excellent. Rack of lamb excellent too. Beet salad terrific. Good assortment of wines. My wife's not easily impressed but she gave Arborvine her top rating too. Reserve well in advance (if you can). Very reasonably priced for fine dining.

This restaurant was in a word- superb!! Oysters Rockefeller were wonderful, great Caesar salad, excellent entrees ( the beef fillets and rack of lamb) scrumptious desserts and the most delicious breads we’ve had in years!!! Friendly, professional and very accommodating staff!! Love this restaurant!! Our first visit, but won’t be our last even if we do live several hours away- it was THAT GOOD!!!👍

We loved our evening here! Food was amazing! Service was great. They treated us like we were regulars even though it was our first time there. We sat out on the patio area and it was covered and heated. Perfect evening.

We feel like we hit the jackpot tonight dining at Arborvine. The wait staff was so attentive and the meal is one of the best we have ever eaten. We started off with Brie. We had the rack of lamb and the pork tenderloin. Both were prepared excellently. We have been staying in Bar Harbor, but the drive was well worth it.

Simply the best food in Maine....try the duck!!! The setting is charming and the service is impeccable. So sad that this five star restaurant is for sale. These culinary footprints can never be duplicated!
