Amanis Restaurant is an amazing dining experience for anyone that appreciates great culinary eats and an atmosphere of fine dining. They serve seasonal foods that are local and real! You can't beat the quality here. The food is superb and is an example of you paying for what you get in regards to quality. We came for lunch and got a large variety of foods. The highlight oddly enough was the brisket fries for me! I really liked them. The surf and turf "Kirby Burger" is a thing to remember. The chef Johnathan is one of Chester County's best cooks in the kitchen and it shows. This is a highest stand of food around! I really like being able to see the chefs cooking while you wait. I love most everything about this restaurant and will be coming back again!

The best restaurant in Downingtown! We went here for the first time for my birthday and it was so good we made reservations for my husband's birthday next week. Which was in the winter but we've gone back in the summer and the menu is always changing but stays delicious. The drinks tasted just as fancy as they looked. We got the short rib and the special this week which was venison with goat cheese mashed potatoes and grilled brussel sprouts with mushrooms. Both dishes were great but my venison was absolutely amazing, but the only criticism I have is that my mashed potatoes were cold. Dessert was the lemon ricotta cake and the bourbon pecan pie with chocolate ganache. The cake was dry but the lemon curd in the middle was good and helped with the dryness of the cake. The pecan pie was delicious though and will be getting that again. Our server Sarah was the best waitress, she was so personable she makes you feel like a friend right away. The whole staff seemed great and worked as a well oiled machine. Definitely looking forward to going back. I just wish they had free parking but thankfully we went on a Saturday when parking was free.

*Indoor dining review* I am thoroughly surprised and impressed with this restaurant. Driven by many times and looking from the outside, I didn't think there was such a good restaurant tucked away. Restaurant: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Food/Drinks: 4.5/5 Parking: Street Parking ~Restaurant~ The restaurant has 2 floors, we sat upstairs. Depends on where you sit, it can feel a bit cramped and you will likely bump into people sitting near you. Apart from that, everything was good. Restaurant itself is also very clean and modernistic. ~Service~ All of the staff we had interaction with (Hostess, waiter, food/drinks runner, Manager) were kind, helpful and sociable. ~Drinks & Food~ Even though it is BYOB, their drink menu is impressive. All were good, no complains. -What we ordered for Drinks- Cranberry Special Cucumber Dill Gin Lavender Gin Key Lime Martini (Dessert drink) For food, I enjoyed what ordered. But the guests with me had only minor complains. -What we ordered for food- Crab Fries (Very Good) Chicken Cheesesteak (Good, but a bit small) Seafood Paella (Very good) Grilled Branzino (Delicious) Gulf Shrimp Fra Diavolo (Good) Banana Pudding for Dessert was also tasty. In conclusion, if you're in the area and have not tried this restaurant yet, it is a must.

Amani’s restaurant's ability to sell a menu is amazing. Their very ambitious seasonal options are rarely ever fully executed. There is always something off with all the dishes. The only thing consistent about the food is that it’s not good enough for what it costs. I hate to bring the potential of the restaurant down, because I really wanted to love it! Especially because they apparently have Chester county’s number 1 chef cooking in the kitchen. I mean how can we not hold you to a higher standard? THANK GOD they are BYOB, so that you can wash the terrible memory of the food away with a good bottle of wine. The best part of service was being able to see the chefs cooking while you wait. Hopefully things improve soon. Downingtown needs this kind of potential.

A really enjoyable meal with good food, but nothing that stood out as a must-have-again favorite. I'd recommend the scallop and shrimp scampi pasta and the cocktail menu (I had the yippee kay ye melon farmer) and look forward to trying other things on the menu. Both steak and pork belly were a bit overcooked. Still enjoyable, but for the price I'd hold them to a high standard. Both the hostess and waitress were kind, courteous, and had great recommendations for us!

A small local rather expensive little restaurant. There is a $10 uncorking fee for your BYOB wine. Reservations are needed since such a small place. Unfortunately, my friend's stuffed chicken with prosciutto had very little prosciutto just placed on top but Not stuffed.

Amani’s, without a doubt, is the best restaurant in Chester county. We have probably been there 12-15 times at this point, and not only is the food the highest quality, but the execution of every aspect of the meal is exceptional. I can still remember the first time my wife and I came when we were poor college graduate students, and almost 8 years later we still always return. The staff is excellent, the new drinks are incredible, and it’s a great intimate atmosphere. We will always love coming here, so do not hesitate!

Great food in Downingtown. Went here with my wife, son and d11yo granddaughter. (Menu is not particularly kid friendly) We tried three appetizers The Braised Pork Belly, Crispy Point Judith calamari, and the Cheese Plate. The pork belly is great and a fairly large portion, it was the winner of the three. The calamari were good but what made the plate was the pickled pepper medley that was included on the plate they were delicious. The cheese plate was good with three nice cheeses, the fennel infused goat cheese being the best of them all. The bacon jelly included on the cheese plate was also a winner. The waitress however when serving the cheese plate did not tell us what the cheeses were and for the matter did not know and had to ask other personnel what they were, after we made the point of asking. I ordered the Seared Duck Breast which was cooked to the correct temperature and the blood orange sauce was a perfect pairing. My son ordered the Bouillabaisse which he enjoyed but thought the sauces was a little to thick. My wife got the Scampi Style Gulf Shrimp she liked it also. My granddaughter got the Smoked Chicken Risotto she thought it was a little light on chicken and heavy on the risotto, but she enjoyed it. For dessert we got the Jewish Apple Cake and the Chocolate Ganache Tart to share and both were very good. The restaurant is small and there is no noise level to interfere with conversation. Service was very good. I look forward to dinning here again.
