A different take on Italian beef, but delicious!! A side of bbq fries is a MUST! Quickly became a family favorite.

The beef here is pretty good, it's just not as good as the original Al's on Taylor Street. The beef could be sliced thinner and the Gardiniera didn't seem to have the same "punch". It's just that I'm to terrified to drive into the city anymore.

I brought friends from Texas to Al's because they invented the modern day Chicago Italian Beef. The Little Italy store was too far so we stopped by the Niles location. Everyone got a regular beef, dipped, sweet and fries. I have to say the food met all expectations. The beef was thin and moist. The juice was flavorful with just the right amount of spice. And "dipped" was thoroughly dipped! Nothing to complain about. The restaurant is standard fast food tables and atmosphere (nothing special). But the food was excellent. And that was why we came. Mission accomplished.

I thought it was good. Came here because I read an article that it was #1 in the Chicagoland. Got the jumbo beef and large fries for just under $20. Brought my water since I don’t like Pepsi. Get the beef like I always do, with cheese and Mayo with no peppers or onions. The flavor was just good and I’m not a fan of soggy fries. The taste of the fresh cut fries was good, but too soggy for me. I’ll stick to Dog Tracks in Barrington for the best Italian Beef!

I live in S Carolina and on social media I found some posts of people from Chicago asking where to find Italian Roast Beef. Some responses said only in Chicago! Others said make your own and provided recipes. I had just been in Chicago and missed out so I told myself the next time in Chicago I would try it. I will say I did follow recipes and made it at home and it was a hit with my family. But last week a coworker and myself were able to try Al’s and what a treat it was. My sandwich was awesome, the Big Beef. Coworker had the same and we split a large order French Fries.

The combo Italian beef was amazing, very juicy and well seasoned. Adding the cup of gravy on the side is the way to go. Overall prices are still great considering where everything's headed now. The portions are large so you won't be left wanting more.

I love love love Al's beef! I dreamt about this all night so i drove the next morning from Huntley il to get a beef dipped well with peppers and American cheese! Service here is always super fast & the gentleman who took my order was so polite. The place is always clean! Al's beef never ever disappoints, ill be back next month 😋

Good was good, good value but the place was really really dirty and is quite off putting. If you can see past that, it’s pretty good
