The food here is so delicious. They also give large portions for a decent price. I come from far away just for this place. I have ordered the fried calamari, the hot wings, French fries, penne vodka pasta with breaded chicken cutlets, the garlic bread and I can confirm everything I have tried is 10/10. So yummy! I wish they had more waiters taking orders since they get so busy it takes a while to place your order. I will still keep coming though because the food is too good!
First time dining at Alessandro's, always get take out but decided to dine in this time. Fried Calamar was crispy and lightly coated which is great, we tried the prosciutto mozzarella rolls and those were phenomenally smothered in balsamic glaze over urugula and tomatoes. My daughter loved their lasagna and my hero was delicious and fresh. They have a great selection of desserts so I recommend saving space for those. All of their food comes in big portions, we had plenty to take home.
We dined for dinner twice while we were at Smith Mountain Lake with our family for a week. The first time we had 19 people. We were seated at 2 tables next to each other. The food was great and the service was excellent. We went again with 7 people and again food and service excellent. Highly recommend them. Try the SML specialty pasta. Excellent.
We stopped in for a quick bite with the family. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We had chicken fingers with twice-fried French fries, which were good and crispy. We also ordered a large pie, which was OK. The sauce could have used a little more flavoring. The pizza was decent, the dessert was good, the chicken was excellent, and the service was on point—nice location with plenty of seating.
Fantastic place, great food, classic Italian food. Employees are inviting and friendly, very honest people. Don't forget to try the amazing dessert ;) this place is one of those out of the way gems. And it works well if you are going on a simple date.
Ordered penne vodka with grilled chicken. Clearly the chicken is not grilled. It was also very chewy leading us to believe the chicken was old. The sauce was also off , with way to much cream and tomatoes.
Great Italian food and great service! They have a separate party/dining room attached and a liquor store attached to it as well.
Just found cozy friendly and good portion and reasonable price Italian near my house. Very friendly staffs and food is excellent
