Mixed feelings. Food was great, but we came on Saturday evening and it was packed, so waiters were barely managing. We got our appetizers an hour after we sat down. One of 4 orders was wrong (but promptly fixed) and we got the wrong check as well. But we weren’t starving and in good company so it didn’t bother us that much. I think if you aim for a less busy time it will be a fantastic experience. Parking (little lots and street) is too busy on a weekend as well.

We had an incredible experience at Alessa, courtesy of Chef Pirozi. The food felt personally crafted for us, with divine flavors, fresh produce, and the finest herbs and ingredients. The dishes were exceptionally delicious, leaving us unable to resist indulging in every bite. Vegetarians will be pleased to find plenty of options available. The cozy and romantic ambience, along with its cool vibe, creates the perfect atmosphere for a date with loved ones or friends. If you find yourself in the Laguna Beach area, Alessa, an authentic Italian restaurant, is an absolute must-try.

This place is great. We have only been twice, but it all started after our wedding. So every anniversary will be here. Food is great, servers are friendly as well. Make sure you end the night with an affagato. Sometimes a bit slow but you can’t complain when your in downtown Laguna.

If you do not mind the very slow timing for service it's a good place. About 40 minutes for apetizers and 45 minutes for main dish. In 2 hrs we seen the waitress 3 times. Very very busy. Outdoorseating its nice, inside too crowded. Food is good.

Girlfriend and I went for her birthday dinner. She got the pink gnocchi that was 6/10. I got the spaghetti con polpette that was 4/10. Service seemed slow but its to be expected on a busy friday night but i noticed the tables around us was getting a way better quality of help than us. The 2 tables next to us were seated after us but got their orders taken before us when we made it obvious we were ready. We were done with our dinner and asked for a to go container with the bill and it took quite some time before we eventually got it. So much time that i got to notice 1 of the tables next to us also ask for the same things and the server immediately got it right away but we got ours way later instead of bringing both at the same time. Really seems like he made us wait longer on purpose.

Randomly found this place while strolling around Laguna Beach. Made the choice based upon the patio and the menu. Definitely a good choice. We dined early so everything was quick and convenient and the server was very professional. The food was very good. We had the butternut ravioli and the Mama Mia for appetizers. Would definitely try one or both again. The Risotto Pescatore was smooth and creamy with perfectly cooked seafood. The only negative from our choices was the Arrabbiata sauce didn’t have any heat and was sweeter than it should have been. Not enough of a ding to drop the stars, because the dish was still great, just not angry.

Great Italian spot within a minute walking distance from the beach shore. Alessa by Chef Pirozzi offered classic Italian dishes. Ordered dishes below: Cioppino - Black tiger shrimp, tasmanian salmon, clams, calamari, and fresh fish, oregano, garlic, white wine tomato broth. Caprese Salad- Roma tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, kalamata olives, basil, organic arugula, EVOO, saba, focacetta. Linguine Marechiaro - Clams, calamari, shrimp, garlic white wine tomato sauce. Seashell Pasta - Lobster cream sauce, shrimp, asparagus. Lamb Pappardelle - Colorado 16-hour slow braised lamb shoulder ragú, mushrooms, over fresh pappardelle. Papa vittorio favorite.

Always a great time. Food & service are excellent. Great place & enjoy a walk at the beach.
