The omakase was amazing and everything was so fresh! I didn't even need soy sauce. The service was also great.

One of the best sushi place I've tried in my life. And I've been to Japan 4 time already but still, this is the place. I will be coming back next time I stop by LA. The chief had good recommendation, professional attitude, great Sake too. I enjoyed it so much I took the chief custom menu twice. Perfect

Hands down the best sushi I've ever had in my life. Sit at the sushi bar and let the chef do the rest. The creativity of his dishes and the flavors were unlike anything I've experienced before, and it's obvious that they take care when selecting their fish. If you're in the area this is a must, you won't be disappointed.

Superb service. Fresh and innovative sushi. Delicious sides of caramelized cauliflower and a mushroom dish I didn't catch the name. The spicy miso slightly missed the mark for me but that's what you get when you explore. Certainly not a knock. Highly recommended restaurant. Cozy place.

over the past 5 months I've only been 3 times, twice with my son and then when I went with my friend for the 3rd time, the head sushi chef remembered what I liked and asked about my son. It made feel amazing that he took such care to know his customers even if I have only been there a few times. Now the food....Amazing! and the sweet potato desert is unreal. when my son asked where I wanted to go tonight for Mother's day... I quickly said there!

We ordered omakase, and it was a good meal but it fell shy of being great. The rice was a bit too sour and took away from the flavors of the fish. The most perfect bite I had was actually one where half the rice fell apart and I just went with it. There were some questionable flavor combinations as well but everyone has different preferences when it come to this so I wouldn't criticize too much.

Little sushi place on an intersection near the beach. The place is cramped, but reminiscent of a traditional Japanese fishing village shop. Staff was very attentive, although there were a few minor mishaps with the service. I forgive the spilled miso soup, because the sushi was so fresh and delicious. Miso cod and tempura are also recommendable. The sushi chefs will prepare items which are not on the menu, including vegetarian sushi or kid-friendly dishes. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Manhattan Beach.

Amazing. Parking is bad. The delicious food makes up for it. They're actually Japanese and the quality and taste of fish is impeccable. They strategically brought out the food in the best and most traditional sequence for our tastebuds with the cooked seared steak with foie gras last of course. I wish they had omakase but it was really busy that night. One day we'll try it though. While I was waiting for the rest of my party to come, the chef noticed I was waiting so he made me a handroll while we wait for our appetizers (some promo on Yelp).
