This place is always packed because the food and atmosphere is awesome! 2 full bars..one outside and one inside..steaks are so juicy!! Indoor and outdoor seating. Great location in Chico!

Supposedly this should be the best or one of the best steak restaurants in town. If it comes to ribeye, filet, etc. the standards must be high. - to my surprise everything without exception was superb, medium rare with cold center was indeed medium rare with cold center. The bread had a crust you wish every bakery etc would offer it vs the soft disappointment you usually are offered. We ordered a decanter and we got a baby decanter, which helped the Bordeaux to open- the wine selection is heavy Californian (which is OK) and ours was a Bordeaux. Reality and flavor profiles ate highly individual and I leave it that. - Overall, incredibly satisfactory! Thank you.

My dad and I came to celebrate my birthday and had the BEST time. They put us in the Wine Room by the window, and even though it’s over 100 degrees outside, it was super comfortably air conditioned inside. The service was prompt and totally on top of it, clearing plates and bringing water etc. Jess was a fabulous waitress. We started with bread- sourdough and house made molasses bread, both were lovely. Dad and I both ordered medium rare prime rib with mashed potatoes and a whole head of roasted garlic! It was PHENOMENAL 10/10 recommend. The prime rib was so tender, perfectly cooked and for once in my life I didn’t have to salt anything! It was so good I kept forgetting to dip in the au jus. The mashed potatoes were perfect, and I squeezed out the roasted garlic and added that to it. Such a great complimentary side to the steak. Afterward, Jess (lovely waitress) brought out the lava cake AND a hand signed birthday card from everyone! And it was so decadent and delicious!!!! Thank you Jess and 5th Street Steakhouse team for a lovely evening, the great service, food, and care for my birthday. We had a great time!

My husband and I had reservations for 6:30, not knowing the roads were going to be a mess for a parade. We called letting them know we were running behind trying to find parking, and they were so polite and said they’d hold our reservation. This meant a lot since we drove an hour to be there! The food and drinks and atmosphere are amazing. The staff are incredible. It was our anniversary so they gave us a free dessert for us to share and signed a nice card for us. If you haven’t been, go! It’s pricy, but worth it.

The 5th Street Steakhouse is a jewel hiding only a few blocks away from Main Street. This is arguably one of the best steakhouse in the Chico area. Mary and the rest of the staff were incredibly personable, polite, and attend to our table frequently. We loved the Blackened Jumbo Prawns dressed in creole bbq sauce, the filet was perfectly seasoned and cooked precisely as ordered. The sides, sauces and garnish were perfect.

The best steak house in Chico! Our waitress was very observant and discovered I didn’t like my cocktail, she helped me get a new one with no questions asked. The food was delicious, BBQ shrimp sauce was awesome and the special pan seared salmon was amazing.

My husband and I drove 45 minutes to go to dinner and it was worth the drive ! The halibut and New York steak was to die for . Service was excellent and even though I was already full from dinner... I had to order dessert because that's the best part of a meal of course 😁❤️Cream brulee was very tasty 😋.It was our first time to 5th street steakhouse and we will definitely be coming back .

Amazing Braised Short Ribs!! Good side selections for dietary needs. I got sauteed mushrooms selection, instead of mashed potatoes. SO GOOD!!
