What a great old school diner spot for breakfast. We were on our way up to Kern river for a two day rafting trip. We didn’t order anything special but it was really tasty. The biscuits and pancakes were really good. The service was friendly and prompt even though they were busy.

Brought my aunt and wife to breakfast here and had one of the most amazing breakfast experiences ever. We were very lucky to arrive when we did. We were seated quickly and well taken care of by Clarinda. She was courteous and quick, accommodating and helpful, friendly and professional. Food was abundant in portions and flavorful. This is my new Bakersfield breakfast spot. Don't get here too late or expect a wait.

Stopped in and had the deep pit pork omelet, and it was absolutely delicious!! Hashbrowns were nice and crispy. Food was served quick and hot.

It was my first time stopping here, we were in Cali and the wife wanted to try it. I got the stuffed French toast but it wasn’t really stuffed just two French toast but some cream cheese in the middle, nothing too big about it.

Stopped here on the way to Disneyland and everything was so good we stopped by on the way home to try a few other things. The food and staff are beyond reproach. It will now be a destination for us.

Feel: Marvelous brekky food in a traditional 50-60s diner style. Pro tip: If you go on a Sunday you will encounter the intense church masses but just say you're cool with bar seats and you'll sit in 10-15 mins even during peak breakfast hour. The food: classic but effective dishes from the best French dip you'll ever have to the homemade peanut butter made for you on the spot with their vintage machine. It's cool to see. The service: above average and solid kindness from servers. They are genuinely good people. Conclusion: go this Sunday or die in depression eating your cereal and grilled cheese at home.

Do not judge a book by it's cover!! Located in Bakersfield,CA this is a gem in the rough. We decided to try this Triple D recommendation after much debate. It is a small little diner that is nestled between some pretty big buildings. But the sign on the building will lead you to the diner. It's small. Quaint. Cozy. Not for anyone who is looking for ohh and ahhs of the atmosphere. Adorned with oars, diving flippers, and small scale canoe and antique fishing rods this place has an inviting aroma of breakfast and nostalgia immediately upon entering. There were 4 of us on this trip and we each decided to try something different from the massive menu laced with plenty of drooling choices from breakfast to lunch. I chose stuffed avocado with fresh crab and tomato salad, and my friends ordered homemade chorizo with potatoes, stuffed french toast with eggs, and lastly chili Verde. No pictures because before we knew it we were all driving into this fiercely delicious ensemble of plates. We all had a bite of each other's plate and we were all thoroughly satisfied with each plate. 2 of us ordered Mimosa (delivered with a glass of oj, a small bottle of champagne (can't remember the name) and a beautiful glass to mix to our hearts desire. Also had a cup of coffee that was delivered with your choice of creamer. And before we left we ordered a short stack each of pumpkin pancakes and blueberry pancakes. The only picture I took of this dining affair!! And they were delicious when I had them the next day reheated!! My friends and I split the pancakes so we each could enjoy them. This place has so much to offer and we didn't have the belly space or time to enjoy it all. But I'll definitely be back for more if I'm ever heading around the area again. Thank you for all the hard work and scrumptious food!!

This was my first time at this neat nostalgic gem. I was part of a large group eating breakfast. The wait staff did a great job taking care of us and getting our meals to us in a timely fashion. I ordered a fried egg on top of tortilla with hash browns. I think it came out really good. The eggs were cooked great and the hash browns were cooked to a wonderful crispiness on the outside and yet super tender on the inside. I will definitely be coming back, this was really good. I also should commend the staff even further. They did a really great job working together and making my group was taken care of. It's unusual to never have an empty coffee cup, but they pulled it off. I can't wait to go back and try their lunch specials..... On a side note, this place is packed with a lot of nostalgic items. One thing that really stood out to me was an old fire engine pedal car, I wish I had one as a kid, it looks really awesome.
