It was ok. Did a pickup order for a platter combo. And surprised that it came complete dry with no sauce on the side to speak of. For a BBQ place I would have assumed it came with some sauce options for the price. Meat was decent, juicy but a little disappointing. Sausage was spicy, but flavorful. Ribs were not good at all. Chewy and dry.

Excellent bar b que. Great staff and service. The long wooden bar from the 1920s is identical in style and detail to one we rescued from an old teen night club called the "12-20" in Cartersville, Illinois in 1972. The building was converted to apartments, the bar discarded, and we saved a third of it. Still have it at a lake house in Upstate South Carolina. Not sure why it took so long to get to this great bar b que place as we visit the nearby wine trail once a year or so. Will definitely make it a regular stop. The vinegar sauce and ribs were absolutely delicious.

We were really looking forward to this highly rated bbq spot. Really great history and family ties to area. Place was busy at lunchtime, very friendly staff. We read the full menu and background. Ordered a Lotta Bull and BBQ Pork Sandwich. Everything was delicious but we were confused why we got no sauce on a BBQ pulled sandwich or at least some sauce on the side of the sandwiches…kinda made it on the dry side otherwise I would give a 5 star so make sure u ask.

Had the Brisket Sandwich and French Fries. The sandwich was absolutely delicious. The fries were average. The service was excellent. Our waitress was the absolute best. My husband and I were pretty full, but still wanted their Strawberry Shortcake, which is amazing, we decided to share one dessert. Our waitress made it extra special for two. Did not get any pictures of the meal but did get a photo of the Strawberry Shortcake

I had heard a lot of great things about this barbecue place. Saw signs all over. Read the menu which extolled its great history of winning barbecue contests with perfect scores. However the reality was quite a bit different. I ordered a half a slab of ribs which I found to be somewhat dry. And a disappointing amount of meat on those ribs which was full of tiny little bone chips and burnt sections that were inedible. I compare this to the barbecue that I was used to eating in Phoenix Arizona which was far superior where a half slab of ribs was a very filling meal with delicious perfectly flavored smoked meat that fell off the bone. That was not the case here. I also ordered barbecued beans which to be quite honest were just a bean paste mush without much flavor at all... While these are the only items I had they seem like they should have been signature dishes and I quite honestly got the feeling that this restaurant is coasting on its past reputation. Pretty disappointing... And for the quality and quantity of what I received... wildly overpriced. The margarita was good though!

Great little place to stop and eat. Customer service was great! They make the customer experience a positive one. Food was exceptional! Definitely want to stop there again when passing through the area.

Me and my friends were just driving through on vacation and stumbled on this place. We were shocked at first that this place was a big deal given the location but we soon understood because the food was phenomenal and our server was so kind. Now we're planning a return trip just for the BBQ. I highly recommend the banana pudding.

I’ve been here plenty of times in the past and have been failed miserably recently. The bbq tastes so dry and flavorless. Sides are not included which would be understandable if the prices weren’t so out the wazoo expensive. Ate by myself and paid $40 for a meal… I would advise the owner to be a little more hospitable and welcoming as well. The restaurant just isn’t the same atmosphere as it use to be back in my day.
